Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions cover SinnSound products in Australia.

In these terms we refer to SinnSound Pty Ltd ABN 25 616 283 982, Address: Suite 3, 5 Stanhope Crt South Yarra, Vic Australia.

Standard Warranty
When you purchase a SinnSound product, it is covered by our standard warranty.

Terms of Standard Warranty
1.1 The benefit of this Standard Warranty is in addition to other consumer rights and remedies that you have under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of an acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
1.2 SinnSound agrees to repair or replace, at its cost, the product and any accessory supplied with the product if they were purchased by you for use in Australia from SinnSound. This applies only when the product has not performed in accordance with specifications of the manufacturer. The Standard Warranty applies during the Warranty Term specified for the product in the information that we have given you. Where we have written Special Conditions in relation to a product, those Special Conditions apply.
1.3 Terms used in these terms and Standard Warranty include:
• SinnSound means Sinnsound Pty Ltd ABN 25 616 283 982.
• Standard Warranty means the product warranty set out in these terms, on the basis of all the terms read together.
• Warranty Term means one (1) year(s) from the date of purchase of the SinnBox.

Warranty Claim
1.4 To make a claim under the Standard Warranty, you will need to go to the SinnSound website for self-help guides and support.
1.4.1 In Australia, you can register your claim on the SinnSound website.
1.4.2 You must provide the serial number and model of your product to SinnSound or our representative for repair or inspection, in order to claim on the Standard Warranty.
1.4.3 In order to claim on the Standard Warranty, you will need to submit proof of purchase including invoices or purchase receipt.
1.5 SinnSound products presented for repair may be replaced by new or refurbished products of the same type rather than being repaired. In the event of a repair, refurbished parts may be used. Replacement parts do not extend or restart the Warranty Term.

1.6 SinnSound will bear the cost of transport to or from its repairers or representatives. While your product is in transit, it is being transported at your risk.
1.7 SinnSound may ask for reimbursement of costs if we receive your product for warranty repair and it is found to be in good working order.

General Exclusions and Limitations
2. To the extent permitted by law, but subject to your rights as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law and details of this standard warranty, the standard warranty will not apply:
2.1 If the product has not been installed, operated and used in accordance with SinnSound’s guide provided with the product or instructions on the SinnSound website.
2.2 If the serial numbers or trademark details have been removed from the product
2.3 To repair damage, faults, or failures resulting from alterations, accidents, misuse abuse, liquid spillage, fire, rough handling of consumer controls, use on incorrect voltage, power surges, thunderstorm or lightning activities, voltage supply fluctuations outside specifications, act of God, tampering or an authorised repair by anyone. In addition, the Standard Warranty will not apply to damage, or defects caused by incompatible accessories, any type of computer virus, exposure to abnormal heat, corrosive conditions, or entry by any insects or foreign objects to the product.
2.4 To damage during transportation, installation or the transportation cost of the products or parts from this unless specified in these warranty terms.
2.5 To Third Party software or hardware that is not part of our product as  originally made by SinnSound.
2.6 To any failure or malfunction it is not part of our product specification.
2.7 The service or repair of any product while outside Australia.
2.8 To wear and tear if a product is used in any commercial industrial educational all commercial contact such as rental.

SinnSound not liable for third party alterations
3. To the extent permitted by law, and (1) subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and (2) the terms of this Standard Warranty:
3.1 SinnSound will not be liable for any loss, damage or modifications by third party hardware or software, any programs, components or media that is attached or connected to the product, or
3.2 any loss or damage arising from the use of these in or on the products, and
3.3 SinnSound will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue or any other type of similar loss.
3.4 To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the Australian Consumer Law, SinnSound excludes such liability from the Standard Warranty.

Return instructions: 

  • The 30 day period runs from the date you receive the SoundBox
  • Please contact us via the contact page on the website. Write “Unsatisfied – Return Request” and your order number from when you purchased the SoundBox. 
  • We will contact you by return with instructions
  • Please ensure you have all the SoundBox packaging including the papers, Power supply & RCA lead that came with the product.
